Tom,
I just wanted to summarize what we talked about today in our meeting about the Client Management Tutorial that we are creating for you. We talked about using the design metaphor of a grey file folder as the intro. This simple intro page would include the title as well as a note that is paper-clipped to it giving an introduction to what we are talking about, and telling the user what to do. Once they enter the actual project, we will be using the black interface that we agreed on, except we will make it grey to match the intro and using a more limited color pallet. We talked about using color, not to color code the sections but to color code different content like links, clickable items, what to highlight, what to read, etc. We talked about the importance of really showing them what they will need to be doing/ clicking on both by having images of actual buttons and implementing flash animations that animate the actions the user will take on the screen. We agreed that we will use an html skeleton for the nav and basic content and images, while implementing flash content where it is necessary. Lastly, we talked about the quiz and making it more interactive by adding more graphics and images. We will also use the quiz as a teaching tool by providing immediate feedback as the user answers questions.
Thank you so much for your time this morning. We will be getting back in touch with you next week about setting up another meeting to get you to sign off on a detailed content outline and our finalized comps.
Thanks,
Hannah Edwards
